Rev. Stephen Lonek was assigned to Our Lady of Good Counsel in June of 2009. He was born and raised on Staten Island one of five boroughs that make up the city of New York. In 1976 he was ordained for the Archdiocese of New York. He joined the Wilmington Diocese in 2000.
He was assigned to several parishes in the New York Archdiocese and was part-time chaplain at St. Joseph's Hill Academe and Moore Catholic High School on Staten Island.
He has been assigned to St. John-Holy Angels, St. Mary Magdalen and St. Mary of the Assumption in the Wilmington Diocese.
